Nw Delhi: Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Thursday announced a new 24X7 television channel for the northeast region.
"A new channel named 'Arun Prabha', which will be a 24x7 channel, will be started in the northeast region," Mr Jaitley said while tabling the union budget in the parliament.
He also announced a sum of Rs.1,000 crore for rail connectivity and Rs.2,000 crore for road connectivity in the northeast region.
