Cabinet expansion on the cards?

New Delhi: According to sources, a key expansion of the Union Cabinet is likely to take place later this month. Sources indicate that the Prime Minister is keen to take on younger ministers.  

The sources tell us that Prime Minister, Sonia Gandhi and Ahmed Patel have begun consultations.

The key vacancies include Telecom, Food & Public Distribution, MoS (External Affairs), MoS (PMO) & MoS (Parliamentary Affairs).

The reshuffle in Congress party is to take place after Cabinet expansion.
