New faces are likely to be inducted in the Manmohan Singh cabinet today. When the BJP was going through a bitter divorce with their 17-year-old ally in Bihar, the Congress party yesterday announced its new team for Mission 2014 - perhaps to signal that the party is ready for the challenge.

The Congress today announced several changes in its organisational structure ahead of a Cabinet reshuffle tomorrow. C P Joshi and Ajay Maken have been named General Secretaries of the party.
"Each general secretary has been given a zone. Rahul Gandhi is going to oversee frontal organisations. There are two attached General Secretaries - Prabha Kishore and Suraj Hegde."
Ahmed Patel will contiune as Political Secretary to Sonia Gandhi, Ambika Soni will be General Secretary in-charge of her office.
Oscar Fernandes, Vilas Muttamwar, Ghulam Nabi Azad and Birender Singh dropped as general secretaries.
Moti Lal Vohra continues as treasurer, Ajay Maken given charge of media and communications. He will be assisted by Priya Dutt.

Both Mr Joshi and Mr Maken had handed over their resignations last night.
Their resignations were today accepted by President Pranab Mukherjee with immediate effect, a
Rashtrapati Bhawan communique said.
The reshuffle will take place tomorrow evening, a Rashtrapati Bhawan spokesperson said.

President Pranab Mukherjee has accepted the resignations of Ajay Maken and CP Joshi ahead of tomorrow's cabinet reshuffle. Sources in the Congress say that in addition to changes in the cabinet, the party is also prepping for organisational changes.
