Cabinet Reshuffle: Deora and Praful on their moves

New Delhi: Murli Deora, who was moved from Oil to Urban Development, said, "I'm not at all disappointed. I can't have a monopoly on the petroleum ministry for the rest of my life. Yes, there have been 6-7 fuel price hikes in the last one year. But you have to look at the amount not the frequency. Oil companies are bleeding. You can't imagine the state they're in."

Praful Patel has been given Cabinet rank but has moved from Civil Aviation to Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises.

"I am very happy at my elevation," he said. "Everyone can't go for the sought-after and glamourous ministries like aviation...it's unfair to judge my performance only on the basis of Air India. I have done a lot of work in aviation and my record is there for you to judge me."

Jitin Prasad has moved as Minister of State from Petroleum to Roads, said, "I will  try and focus in rural areas especially UP as that's where I come from...it's an opportunity for me to learn another sector."
