Can only look forward and ensure Chinese incursion doesn't happen again, says Salman Khurshid: highlights

New Delhi: Minister of External Affairs Salman Khurshid is addressing the media after his visit to China.

Highlights of the press conference.

• On the question of why did the China incursion happen?
  If you reflect back to incidents in the past, we raised the question but we didn't expect an answer immediately. We can only look forward and make sure that it doesn't happen again.
• I told Premier Lee that I feel that the media from the two countries must interact from often. He thought it was a good idea. Both countries can move forward constructively in this way.
• Premiere Lee's will visit from 19th of this month. His first foreign visit after becoming the Premier of China. He will be visiting Delhi and Mumbai. 
• Meet with Premier Lee very welcoming and warm.
  
• Visit to China was significant and successful. They laid out many points to discuss and so did we.
  
• We are ready with agreements on micro irrigation, water. They have reacted very enthusiastically on visa agreement. 
• Talks between Special Representatives of India and China on boundary issue to take place in couple of months.
• China said they have released two Indian prisoners in a goodwill gesture. Have asked if the same can be done for 6 Indian diamond merchants there. 
• Wanted to send joint statement to send a strong message.
• Talks on Afghanistan very fruitful.
