Notorious Gangster Goldy Brar, believed to be one of the main conspirators of popular Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala's murder, now features in the Canada's list of top 25 most wanted fugitives.
Goldy Brar's name has been added to the most wanted fugitives' list by Interpol-Ottawa's Fugitive Apprehension Support Team.
Goldy Brar, alias Satinderjit Singh, is believed to be in Canada and represents a risk to public safety, said an official release, adding that the offences committed by him in India are "very serious in nature".
"Brar is accused of orchestrating the murders of Rajat Kumar, Gurlal Singh, and is also suspected of ordering the murder of Indian singer, songwriter Shubhdeep Singh aka "Sidhu Moose Wala," it said.
Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead in his SUV near his village Moosa in Punjab's Mansa district on June 29.
A day after Moose Wala was murdered, Goldy Brar had admitted in a Facebook post that he planned it to avenge the killing of another gangster.
Goldy Brar is a close aide of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, who is the chief suspect in the Punjabi rapper's murder.
India had last year issued a red corner notice against him, which allows the arrest and detention of a fugitive abroad.
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had said that authorities in the state are coordinating with international agencies to bring him to justice.
Goldy Brar worked as a trucker after having moved to Canada originally on student visa five years ago.
A native of Muktsar district of Punjab, Goldy Brar and Lawrence Bishnoi became friends during their student politics days in Chandigarh around a decade ago.
Lawrence Bishnoi was in Tihar Jail when Moose Wala was killed in May - from where he has been running his gang, it is alleged.
