Seven security personnel including a Lieutenant Colonel of the NSG were killed while neutralising six terrorists in the Pathankot terror attack.

Scores of residents joined by local politicians here carried out a candlelight vigil in honour of the security personnel killed in the Pathankot terror attack.
Those who joined the candle march carried out last night at village Darveshpind here also held prayers for the peace of the departed souls and extended sympathy to the families of the deceased soldiers.
Seven security personnel including a Lieutenant Colonel of the National Security Guard were killed while neutralising six terrorists who on Saturday had taken into siege the Air Force base at Pathankot.
All the militants were killed in the encounter that lasted over four days.
Addressing the gathering, Punjab Congress general secretary and former minister Joginder Singh Mann asked Union government to adopt tough stand against Pakistan.
He also demanded that the international border with the neighbouring country be completely sealed to stop recurrence of any such attack.
The Congress leader also said that a proper probe be carried out in the alleged lapse on party of security agencies to prevent the second terror attack in Punjab within six months.
