Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said that he and his family had cooperated with the CBI, which he claimed was "being misused" by the Centre, on a day when the investigative agency carried out raids at multiple locations in connection with a case linked to the state's excise policy.
Manish Sisodia has been named as the accused number 1 of the fifteen accused in the CBI's first information report or FIR into the Delhi liquor policy case.
The Central Bureau of Investigation today searched over 20 locations, including the residence of Manish Sisodia, over the Centre's allegations of corruption in the Delhi liquor policy. "CBI is here at my residence. I will cooperate with the probe agency, they will not find anything against me," Manish Sisodia tweeted as news of the raids emerged.
The probe agency has filed an FIR and is investigating the Delhi Excise Policy launched in November, under which liquor shop licenses were handed over to private players.
