Chandigarh: Former Deputy General of Police of Haryana, SPS Rathore's bail plea has been adjourned till July 19 by Punjab High Court after the CBI asked for an extension to complete their investigation so that they could file their report.
The former Haryana police chief has been convicted of molesting teenager Ruchika Girhotra by a special CBI court.
Three fresh cases filed against Rathore include: Abetment to suicide of Ruchika Gihotra, involvement in fudging her inquest report and falsely implicating her brother and harassment to Ruchika's family.
Rathore had molested 14-year-old Ruchika Girhotra in August 1990. She killed herself in December 1993, after months of harassment that saw her being expelled from school and her brother allegedly being tortured.
