The Home Secretary has told NDTV that Central forces will move in on Tuesday to break the two-month-old Manipur blockade.
The blockade will be broken all along the National Highway 39 from Assam to Manipur, he said.
There has been an acute shortage of essential goods due to the blockage. The state has slipped into a virtual emergency with the largest group of private hospitals planning to shut down due to unavailability of fuel, oxygen and medicines. (Read: What Manipur blockade is about)
