Agartala: The visiting central team will resolve the problems faced by students protesting in the National Institute of Technology (NIT) in Jammu and Kashmir soon, Union Minister Ram Shankar Katheria said in Agartala today.
"The three-member central team, which rushed to the NIT - Srinagar from New Delhi, will talk to the aggrieved students and resolve their problems," the minister of state for human resource development told reporters.
He said: "Some students in various educational institutions in the country are agitating. Talks with the students are very urgent. We will try to redress their grievances. Most problems can be solved through talks."
Earlier, Human Resource Development Minister Smriti Irani told reporters in Surat today that the HRD ministry team will remain stationed at the NIT till the exams are over. The NIT exams will begin on April 11.
Trouble began in the NIT - Srinagar after two groups of students clashed on March 31 after the West Indies defeated India in the T20 World Cup championship match.
