New Delhi: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on wednesday met President Pranab Mukherjee in New Delhi amid demands for special category status to his state.
Andhra Bhavan officials said Mr Naidu met the President and invited him for the Krishna Pushkarmas, a festival of River Krishna which occurs once in every 12 years and is celebrated with much fanfare in the state.
Accompanied by Union Minister Ashok Gajapathy Raju and TDP MP Y S Chowdary, Mr Naidu also met Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley last night.
Today, he is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan and Union HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar
