Kota:
The Anti Corruption Bureau, investigating an alleged land scam, has filed a chargesheet against a former Rajasthan minister and 29 others in a special court here.
Madan Dilawar, who was a minister in the Vasundhara Raje government, and 29 others have been alleged of fabricating documents for an auction of government land under Atru Panchayat Samiti of Baran district in 1998, Baran ACB in-charge Deendayal Bhargav said.
As per the ACB findings, Dilawar used his political clout to ensure that the plot was sold to his near ones at extremely low rates, hence causing a revenue loss to the state exchequer.
The standard land rate decided by the district level committee of the state government was completely sidelined in the process.
Among those to benefit from the scheme included the wife of the then block development officer Laadbai, sitting block Congress president Ashok Meena, Sarpanch Brijmohan Soni and his family members and the wives of three panchayat secretaries.
The chargesheet against the former BJP minister and 29 others has been filed yesterday under section 120 B (criminal conspiracy) of the IPC. They were later granted bail by the court.
