Chartered bus kills schoolboy in Noida

Noida: A student was run over by a chartered bus in Sector 34 here on Thursday morning, triggering protests by locals who pelted stones at the vehicle.

Amit, a Class IX student of Gyan Bharti Public School, was killed while he was on his way to school, police said.

Soon after the incident, angry locals pelted stones at the bus and tried to set it ablaze.

Police reached the spot and controlled the situation. The driver of the bus was absconding.
