New Delhi:
The Chief Justice of India (CJI) on Friday warned against what he called unrestrained media coverage of terror attacks, saying they can provoke people to take the law into their own hands.
"The impact of terrorist attacks on people's minds is amplified by pervasive media coverage. The resentment fuelled by unrestrained media coverage can lead to desire for retribution," CJI K G Balakrishnan said.
He was speaking at a two-day International Conference of Jurists on Terrorism in the capital.
