Ujjain:
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan walks in his socks as his shoes are carried by a police officer, in images that have gone viral on social media.
The photos are from Wednesday, when Mr Chouhan attended a training camp of his BJP at Tapovan, a religious complex in Ujjain.
On his way to the event, the Chief Minister made a brief stop at the ashram of Jain monk Pragya Sagar, where he had to take off his shoes.
When he came out, the security officer in the visuals reportedly came running to him with his shoes but was asked to "keep them" for now.
Since the BJP camp was only a short walk away, the Chief Minister decided to continue without his shoes.
One of the witnesses to the scene filmed it on his mobile phone and posted it on social media.
The security man, realizing that he was being filmed, allegedly ran to the Chief Minister's car with the shoes.
Mr Chouhan landed in a similar controversy last year when he was carried by his security staff through a flooded area in Panna district and the images were widely circulated.
