Chennai: A Chennai court has denied bail to alleged paedophile William Heum. Heum is accused of uploading child pornographic material on the Internet.
The police had earlier said Heum confessed his involvement with child pornography. Will Heum, however, had told, a Chennai court on Wednesday that he has admitted to nothing of the kind.
Heum, a Dutch national, moved to India several years ago. He was arrested last week for posting child pornography on the Internet.
Heum had earlier been arrested in 2002 for sexually abusing children in an orphanage he ran in Tamil Nadu. He was granted bail in that trial.
The Cyber Wing of the Chennai Police claims that Heum had confessed to possessing CDs with pornographic content.
