Bangalore:
In Bangalore, the parents of a young boy have accused his teacher of beating him so badly that his teeth were broken.
Nine-year-old Mohammed Huzaif of St Mary's Public School allegedly upset his teacher because he had not completed his homework. He returned home in the afternoon with broken teeth and a cut lip.
"Nirmala Miss asked if we did the homework. The pages were not there. After that she took me out and pushed me. I got hurt, it was bleeding," he told NDTV.
His parents have filed a complaint with the police which says it is investigating the incident.
"I think she pulled his shirt or something, and maybe the child lost his balance and fell down. I was not there and was not informed," said the principal, Nina Abraham. She said that Mohammed's parents have not communicated with her since the incident.
"We cannot take any action before an inquiry. The teacher in question is a very dedicated, sincere teacher. So an unfortunate thing has happened," she said.
