Once again there are reports of Chinese incursions into Indian territory near the International Border in Ladakh.
Though Beijing has denied the charges, India says it wants answers.
According to reports, after the airspace violations, Chinese troops had also intruded into Ladakh on July 31.
The Chinese troops entered nearly 1.5 kilometres into the Indian territory near Mount Gya, recognised as International border by India and China. The region is in the Chumar sector, east of Leh.
Reports say they painted boulders red, even inscribing China on some of them.
Mount Gya at 22,420 feet is also known as the "fair princess of snow". It is located at the junction of Ladakh in Jammu and Kashmir, Spiti in Himachal Pradesh, and Tibet.
However, the army is down playing the incident, saying these things happen periodically.
Intelligence agencies and army sources point out, this has become a regular phenomenon over the past one year. As NDTV had reported last month, the frequency of intrusions has increased in recent times.
Home Minister P Chidambaram, speaking exclusively to NDTV, says reports of Chinese incursions should not be overplayed and that talks are on between representatives from both the sides.
