Chinese nationals arrested in Uttar Pradesh

Lucknow: Three Chinese nationals were arrested from Baharaich in Uttar Pradesh on Monday night. They all are civil engineers by profession.

According to the police, Liao Ling, Zhou Deng Lee and Xiang Liu did not have valid travel documents for India and were taking unauthorised pictures of restricted areas for which they were apprehended and interrogated.

All three, including one woman, have now been sent to jail.

These Chinese national said that they were installing mobile towers in Nepal and unintentionally strayed into India on the Nepal-Rupardiha border, the police said.
