The fire broke out on the third floor of the hospital building in West Bengal's Murshidabad.

West Bengal Government ordered a CID inquiry into the fire in Murshidabad Medical College Hospital which claimed two lives on Saturday.
"CID has been asked to look into the possibility of sabotage in the incident," a release issued by the state secretariat 'Nabanna' said in Kolkata on Saturday.
"This will be in addition to the inquiry into the incident by a high-level inquiry committee under the chairmanship of principal secretary of health and family welfare department," it said.
The committee will comprise secretaries of other relevant departments and will look into the cause of the incident. It will suggest remedial measure so that such incidents do not recur and look into other incidental issues, the release added.
Two women died and seven others were injured in a stampede after a fire broke out in Murshidabad Medical College Hospital on Saturday triggering panic among patients and their relatives.
