Lucknow: A school girl in Uttar Pradesh has died in hospital from severe burns and injuries, the result of her being set on fire after she was gang-raped. The three suspects have not been arrested yet.
The victim, who was in Class 8, was attacked by three men in her village in south Uttar Pradesh when she went to a farm late on Tuesday night with her sister to use the toilet.
Her family has said that when the girl and her sister said they would report the matter to the police, the three men set her on fire.
The girl's sister rushed for help but by the time she was moved to hospital, she had serious burns.
