Close kin made it to 15th Lok Sabha
New Delhi:

It is relatives galore in the 15th Lok Sabha, perhaps creating a record of sorts. There have been two mother-son pairs, two father-son pair and one father-daughter pair in the new House, leave aside the sons and daughters of various leaders.

And interestingly, the two mother-son pairs belong to one family only -- the Gandhi family.
The first family of Congress has party chief Sonia Gandhi again from Rae Bareli and her son Rahul who did a spectacular job for the party in campaigning from adjacent Amethi.

Likewise, Rahul's cousin Varun Gandhi makes his maiden entry from Pilibhit, represented earlier by his mother Maneka Gandhi, who has now been elected from nearby Aonla.

NCP chief Sharad Pawar is from Madha while his daughter Supriya Sule makes her entry into the Lower House from his pocket borough of Baramati.

A father-son pair will also be seen in the new House with former Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy joining his father and former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda.

Another father-son pair is that of SP supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav and his son Akhilesh Yadav.

Agatha Sangma, daughter of former Lok Sabha Speaker P A Sangma, has been re-elected from Tura in Meghalaya while Milind Deora, son of Union Minister Murli Deora has won from South Mumbai.

Sandeep Dikshit, son of Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit emerged victorious from East Delhi.

Deepa Dasmunshi, wife of ailing Congress leader P R Dasmunshi, has won from his constituency of Raigang.

Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, son of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YSR Reddy, makes his maiden entry into the Lok Sabha so also Nilesh Rane, son of former Maharashtra Chief Minister Narayan Rane.

Sameer Bhujbal, nephew of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Chagan Bhujbal, has got entry from Nasik on NCP ticket.

Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, son of late Congress leader Madhav Rao Scindia, has retained his seat from Guna, Madhya Pradesh.

Sachin Pilot, son of late Congress leader Rajesh Pilot, also emerged victorious from Ajmer for his second term in the House.
