Dehradun:
Devotees of Badrinath yatra were trapped on Monday after the National Highway connecting it was washed away by Alakananda River near Lambagarh.
The Border Roads Organisation (BRO) has made a temporary road and has rescued some of the devotees but around 5000 are still trapped near Lambagarh and Barhaharhi.
Thousands of devotes at Govind Ghat, Badrinath and Joshimath are still waiting for the road to open.
Cloud burst on Monday flooded the Alakananda which washed away the road from Badrinath to Vishnuprayag.
