Cold Conditions Prevail In Punjab And Haryana

Chandigarh: Cold conditions today prevailed in Punjab and Haryana with minimum temperatures hovering below normal level in various parts of both states.

Ludhiana, the industrial hub of Punjab, turned out to be the coldest place in both states as it recorded a minimum temperature of 3.3 degrees Celsius, four notches below normal, a MeT department report said in Chandigarh.

Chandigarh, the joint capital of Punjab and Haryana, braved cold weather at 6.8 degrees Celsius, it stated.

In Punjab, Amritsar and Patiala recorded a low of 6.7 degrees Celsius and 5.4 degrees Celsius respectively. While in Haryana, the minimum temperature in Hisar and Karnal settled at 4.5 degrees Celsius and 5 degrees Celsius, two notches below normal.

Ambala recorded a low of 7.5 degrees Celsius while in Narnaul the minimum temperature was 4.7 degrees Celsius respectively, the MeT report stated.
