Cold wave like conditions claimed nine more lives across Uttar Pradesh since Monday, bringing the toll this winter to 92.
Official sources said on Tuesday the chill claimed three lives in Mirzapur, two each in MuzaffarNagar and Bareilly and one each in Moradabad and Amroha.
The state capital and other areas saw a bright sunny afternoon giving the people much-needed respite from the cold.
The lowest temperature in the state was 0.9 degree celsius recorded at Agra.
Weather forecast says it would be mainly dry and foggy at one or two places over the state.
