Chandigarh: Cold conditions continued unabated in most parts of Punjab and Haryana today with the minimum temperatures hovering at below normal limits in several places in the region.
The minimum temperatures hovered between three degrees Celsius below normal to three notches above normal in most parts of Punjab and Haryana, the MeT office said in Chandigarh.
While Amritsar was coldest with a low of 4.1 degrees Celisus, two notches below normal, Narnaul settled at a low of six degrees Celsius, one notch below normal.
Among other places, Hisar recorded a low temperature of 7.7 degrees Celsius, one notch below normal followed by 7.8 degrees Celsius at Karnal, also one notch below normal, 8.6 degrees Celsius at Ludhiana, ten degrees Celsius at Bhiwani, 10.1 degrees Celsius at Patiala, one notch above normal, 10.6 degrees Celsius at Chandigarh, three notches above normal and 10.7 degrees Celsius, two notches above normal.
The MeT department has predicted rise in temperatures during the next 24 hours.
