Washington:
The United States has voiced concern over the ongoing violence in the Kashmir Valley that has claimed 30 lives, but has made it clear that it is India's internal matter.
"Obviously, we're concerned about the violence," US State Department spokesperson John Kirby said in his daily press briefing on Monday.
"We encourage all sides to make efforts towards finding a peaceful resolution," he said.
"This is really a matter for the Government of India to speak to specifically, and I'd refer you to them for more comment," he added.
Since the violence started on Saturday, following the death of top Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist, Burhan Wani, 30 people including 29 civilian protesters and a policeman have died.
Terrorist Burhan Wani, 22, was killed in a gunfight on Friday along with two of his associates.
