New Delhi:
Millions standing in queues at banks to exchange old currency notes or withdraw cash; is that a proof of arrival of "achhe din", former Finance Minister P Chidambaram today said commenting on the problems of the common man across the country thronging banks.
Taking a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Mr Chidambaram wanted to know what will happen to productivity with people standing in long queues to get cash.
"Millions of working people standing in queue. Long live Productivity. Thousands of 'rich' and 'corrupt' persons standing in queue. The poor are cheering from their homes! Banks are doling out cash to citizens. That is proof that 'Achhe Din' have arrived!," he said in a series of tweets.
People in large numbers are queueing up outside ATMs and banks to withdraw valid currency notes from vending machines and exchange demonetised bills.
