New Delhi:
Latching on to BJP's victory in Port Blair's local body elections, Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu has taken a dig at Congress saying its "losing spree" continues from mainland to islands.
The union minister tweeted:
BJP has won 11 of the 24 seats in the elections to the island's local body and is set to replace Congress as the main ruling formation.
Hailing the party's victory, BJP chief Amit Shah has saidthat its wins in a series of municipal polls underlined people's endorsement of the Modi Government's development agenda and "rejection" of Congress' "negative" politics.
The union minister tweeted:
Losing spree of Congress continues... Not only in Main Land, it now lost in islands... Congrats to BJP workers...
