Constable Tete's killers arrested: Bihar Police

Jamui: The Bihar Police have said they have caught the killer of havaldar Lucas Tete, who lost his life in the week-long hostage crisis in Bihar's Lakhisarai district a few days ago.

Police say they have arrested Baro Koda, a self-styled zonal commander with the CPI (Maoist) in Bihar's Jamui district and claim he has confessed to his role in the Lakhisarai encounter. They arrested Koda from the jungles of Laxmipur.

Naxals had killed seven cops during the fierce Lakisarai encounter with policemen, and then took four cops hostage.

After the government refused to bow to Naxal demands of the release of eight of their jailed comrades, Tete was killed and his body left in the jungles of Lakhisarai. Three other hostages were eventually released after Chief Minister Nitish Kumar personally appealed to the Naxals to talk to the government.
