Telangana Adds 59 New COVID-19 Cases

Hyderabad reported the highest number of cases with 44. A Health department bulletin said 40 people recuperated from the infection raising the cumulative number of recoveries till date to 7,88,731.

The recovery rate stood at 99.43 per cent.

No fresh fatality occurred due to the infectious disease and the death toll continued to be 4,111.

Over 193.55 Crore Covid Vaccine Doses Administered In India

The cumulative COVID-19 vaccine dosesadministeredin the country crossed 193.55crore on Tuesday, the Union health ministry said.

More than 9 lakh vaccinedoses have been administered till 7 pm on Tuesday. The daily vaccination tally is expected to increase with the compilation of the final reports for the day by late night, it said.

A total of 50,773 precaution doses of COVID-19 vaccine were administeredin those aged 18-59 years till 7 pm on Tuesday, taking the total precaution doses given in this age group to 23,31,769 so far, according to the health ministry data.

So far, 3.40 crore children in the age group of 12-14 years have been administered the first dose while 5.95 crore adolescents in the age group of 15-18 years have been given the first dose.

Mumbai Logs 500 Plus COVID-19 Cases For First Time Since February 6

The number of activecases went past 2,500 and reached 2,526.

The number of recoveries in Mumbai stands at 10,43,710 while the COVID-19 death toll remained unchanged at 19,566 with no fresh fatalities being reported during the day, the official said.

West Bengal's Active COVID-19 Tally Rises To 353

The toll remained at 21,204 as no new deaths happened in the state due to the disease, it said.

The state has so far reported 20.19 lakh COVID-19 cases.

Delhi Records 373 Fresh COVID-19 Cases, 1 Death

With this, the national capital's COVID-19 tally has gone up to 19,06,896 and the death toll due to the viral disease has climbed to 26,210.

A total of 17,371 Covid tests were conducted in the city on Monday, the department said in its latest bulletin.

Delhi recorded 212 freshCOVID-19cases and onedeath due to the disease on Monday, while the positivity rate was 2.42 per cent.

At 711, Maharashtra Logs Highest Daily COVID-19 Count In Over 3 Months

With these additions, the state's overall COVID-19 tally rose to 78,87,086, while the death toll increased to 1,47,860, the department said in a bulletin.

On Monday, the state had recorded 431 fresh cases, but zero fatality.

The tally of 711 cases registered in a 24-hour period was the highest since February 27 when the state had recorded 782 infections.

New COVID-19 Cases Near 100 Per Day Mark In Tamil Nadu

The number of people who have recuperated from the viral disease rose to 34,16,907 with 49 more people getting discharged in the last 24 hours, leaving 542 active COVID-19cases.

Chengalpet and Chennai districts accounted for a majority of cases with 46 and 44 respectively. Coimbatore and Tiruvallur added four while Kancheepuram and Vellore added one case each.

The death toll in the state stood at 38,025 as no fatality was recorded in the last 24 hours, it said.

One Fresh Case In Jammu And Kashmir

The only case was reported from Jammu district, they said.

There are 54 active cases, while the overall recoveries have reached 4,49,443, officials said.

The COVID-19 death toll stands at 4,752. No Covid-related fatality was reported in the last 24 hours, officials said.

There were 51 confirmed cases of mucormycosis (black fungus), they added.

Puducherry Logs 5 New COVID-19 Cases In 24 Hours

Puducherry registered five fresh cases of coronavirus during last 24 hours ending 10 am today, raising the aggregate to 1,65,859.

The department of health examined 1,273 samples today and detected the new cases.

Director of Health G Sriramulu said in a release that the active cases were 16 after recovery of five cases. There was no fatality during last 24 hours in any of the four regions of Puducherry, Karaikal, Mahe and Yanam and the tally remained 1,962.

The overall recoveries stood at 1,63,881. The Health Department has examined so far 22,52,228 samples and found 18,97,138 out of them to be negative.

The test positivity rate today was 0.39 percent while fatality and recovery rates were 1.18 percent and 98.81 percent, respectively.

The Department of Health has administered so far 17,08,594 doses which comprised 9,67,164 first doses, 7,17,578 second doses and 23,852 booster doses.

One New COVID-19 Case In Andamans

One new COVID-19 case was reported in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, taking the caseload to 10,046, a health bulletin said today.

The fresh patient has a travel history, it said.

The archipelago now has three active cases, while two patients recuperated from the disease on Monday, taking the total number of recoveries to 9,914.

At least 129 patients have succumbed to the infection so far.

The administration has thus far tested over 7.38 lakh samples for COVID-19, and fully vaccinated 3.39 lakh people.

Maharashtra's Thane Records 51 New COVID-19 Cases In 24 Hours

With the addition of 51 new COVID-19 cases, the infection tally in Maharashtra's Thane district has risen to 7,09,992, an official said today.

These new cases were reported on Monday, he said.

The number of deaths due to Covid in the district remained unchanged at 11,895 and the COVID-19 mortality rate stood at 1.67 per cent, he added.

In neighbouring Palghar district, the COVID-19 case count stood at 1,63,612 and the number of deaths at 3,407, another official said.
