14,623 Fresh COVID-19 Cases In India, 12% Higher Than Yesterday

Kerala continues to see the highest number of cases in the country; 7,643 cases were logged since yesterday.

India today logged 14,623 fresh COVID-19 cases, which is 12 per cent higher than yesterday. The country also reported 197 deaths over the last 24 hours. Overall, the cases and deaths have been on a decline.

Here are the top 10 updates on coronavirus in India:

  1. With 13,058 fresh Covid infections logged in yesterday, it was India's lowest daily rise in cases in 231 days.

  2. The daily rise in new coronavirus infections has been below 30,000 for 26 straight days and less than 50,000 daily new cases have been reported for 115 consecutive days now.

  3. The active cases comprise 0.52 per cent of the total infections, the lowest since March 2020, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate was recorded at 98.15 per cent, the highest since March 2020.
