Chhattisgarh on Monday reported 518 COVID-19 cases at a positivity rate of 4.56 per cent, taking the tally to 11,66,421, while the death count increased by one to reach 14,067, an official said.
The recovery count stood at 11,48,873 after 493 people were discharged, leaving the state with 3,481 active cases, he said.
Gujarat reported 606 COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, taking the state's tally to 12,55,777, while one death took the count to 10,971, an official said on Monday.
The recovery count rose by 729 during this period to touch 12,38,393, leaving the state with an active tally of 6,413, he added.
Telangana on Monday recorded 771 new COVID-19 cases, taking the statewide tally to 8,20,617.
Hyderabad district reported the highest number of cases with 289.
A health department bulletin said 581 people recuperated from the infection raising the cumulative number of recoveries till date to 8,10,773. The recovery rate stood at 98.80 per cent.
Maharashtra on Monday recorded 830 new COVID-19 cases, a sharp drop from the 1,849 patients detected a day earlier, which took the overall tally to 80,48,285, an official said.
The death count increased by one to reach 1,48,105, he said, adding this figure, too, was a dip from the three COVID-19-linked fatalities registered on Sunday.
Jammu and Kashmir recorded 397 fresh Covid cases on Monday that took the infection tally to 4,65,163, while one more fatality pushed the death toll to 4,772, officials said.
Of the new cases, 122 were reported from the Jammu division and 275 from the Kashmir valley, they said.
Nagaland on Monday reported 15 fresh COVID-19 infections, 12 more than the previous day, pushing the tally to 35,793, an official said.
The COVID-19 death toll rose to 771 as one more patient succumbed to the disease in Kohima district, he said. Wokha district reported three infections, Dimapur, Kohima, Longleng, Mokokchung and Mon districts reported two cases each and Kiphire and Zunheboto districts one infection each, out of the 151 samples tested, he said.
