New Delhi: India reported a total of 19,673 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, bringing the overall number of Covid-related infections in the country to 4,40,19,811.
The active COVID-19 cases increased to 1,43,676, according to the Union Health Ministry data.
According to government data, India also reported 45 Covid-related fatalities on Sunday, taking the total number of deaths to 5,26,357.
The active cases comprise 1,6 per cent of the total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate was recorded at 98.5 per cent, the ministry said

Covid Update: Puducherry Registers 113 New Cases Of Covid
Union Territory of Puducherry logged 113 new cases of Covid during the last 24 hours pushing the overall numbers up to 1,70,721, a senior official of the Department of Health said on Sunday. The Director of Health G Sriramulu said in a bulletin that the 113 cases surfaced during examination of 1,429 samples. Puducherry region alone accounted for 84 cases, followed by 19 in Karaikal and 10 in Yanam.

Odisha Reports 1,029 New COVID-19 Cases, 2 More Deaths
Odisha reported 1,029 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, while two more patients died of the disease, the health department said.
There are 6,608 active cases in the state at present, according to a bulletin.
The positivity rate was 5.16 per cent as the new cases were detected after testing 19,954 samples. As many as 175 children were among the new patients.

10 New COVID-19 Cases In Ladakh
Ladakh recorded 10 fresh Covid cases that took the infection tally to 28,871, officials said on Sunday.
All the new cases were recorded in Leh, they said.
So far, 228 people have succumbed to COVID-19 in Ladakh. Of these, 168 deaths were reported from Leh and 60 from Kargil, according to officials.
The number of active cases stands at 123 in Ladakh - 108 in Leh and 15 from Kargil.

Assam Reports 520 New Covid Cases, 1 More Fatality
Assam logged 520 fresh COVID-19 cases and more fatality due to the virus, the National Health Mission (NHM) said.
After a gap of two days, a Covid fatality was reported in Tinsukia district during the last 24 hours, pushing the toll to 8,016, it said in a bulletin.
A total of 8,112 samples were tested on Saturday at a positivity rate of 6.41 per cent. The coronavirus tally stands at 7,38,946.

India Records 19,673 Covid Cases, 45 Fatalities
India's COVID-19 case rally rose by 19,673 in a day to reach 4,40,19,811 while active cases reached 1,43,676, according to the Union Health Ministry data updated on Sunday.
The toll has climbed to 5,26,357 with 45 more fatalities, the data updated at 8 am stated.
Active caseload increased by 292 in a day and comprise 0.33 per cent of the total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate was 98.48 per cent, the ministry said.
The number of people who have recuperated from the viral disease surged to 4,33,49,778 while the case fatality rate was recorded at 1.20 per cent.
