New Delhi: India's daily Covid numbers jumped by over 14 per cent as the country reported 43,263 new cases on Thursday. 338 deaths were recorded during the past 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry. Active cases constitute 1.19 per cent of total cases.
Active cases constitute 1.19 per cent of total cases, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate stands 97.48 per cent per cent, the Health Ministry said. The daily positivity rate now stands at 2.38 per cent.
The cumulative number of COVID-19 vaccine doses administered in the country has crossed 71 crore. More than 73 lakh (73,80,510) vaccine doses were administered till 7 pm on Wednesday.
Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said India took 85 days to touch 10 crore vaccinations, 45 days to cross the 20 crore-mark and 29 more days to reach 30 crore.

Goa records 79 new coronavirus cases, 57 recoveries
Goa's coronavirus caseload went up by 79 and reached 1,74,725, while no fresh death due to the infection was reported in the state, a health department official said. The death count remained unchanged at 3,212, he said. The number of recovered cases in the state rose to 1,70,635 after 57 patients were discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours, the official said. Goa now has 878 active cases, the official said.

Six COVID-19 deaths, 161 fresh cases in Himachal Pradesh
Six more people died of coronavirus in Himachal Pradesh while 161 fresh cases surfaced in the state, taking the statewide infection tally to 2,15,235, a health official said. So far, the infection has killed 3,612 people in the state. Of the fresh deaths, two each were reported from Shimla and Mandi and one each from Bilaspur and Kangra.

11 new COVID-19 cases reported in Uttar Pradesh
Eleven more COVID-19 cases have been reported in Uttar Pradesh, while the death count stands at 22,863, with no fresh fatality in the state, according to an official statement. The tally of cases has increased to 17,09,503 with the reporting of the 11 new cases, the state government said in the statement.
