India on Sunday recorded 11,539 fresh coronavirus infections that pushed its tally to 4,43,39,429, while the number of active cases came down to 99,879, according to Union health ministry data.
The death count due to COVID-19 climbed to 5,27,332 with 34 fatalities, including nine deaths reconciled by Kerala, the data updated at 8 am stated.
The active cases comprise 0.23 per cent of the total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate stands at 98.59 per cent, the ministry said.

Chhattisgarh Records 222 Covid Cases; Positivity At 2.30%
Chhattisgarh on Monday reported 222 COVID-19 cases at a positivity rate of 2.30 per cent, taking the tally to 11,72,474, while the death count increased by one to reach 14,101, an official said. The recovery count stood at 11,56,789 after 84 people recovered during the day, leaving the state with 1,584 active cases, he said.
Delhi Records 625 New Covid Cases, 7 Deaths; Positivity At 9.27%
Delhi on Monday reported 625 fresh COVID-19 cases and seven deaths, while the positivity rate stood at 9.27 per cent, according to data shared by the city health department. The fresh cases came out of 6,744 tests conducted the previous day, the department said in its latest bulletin.

Daily Covid Cases Down To Single Digits In PuducherryPuducherry reported only six new cases of COVID-19 on Monday with the fresh cases surfacing after examination of 88 samples. Director of Health G Sriramulu, in a release, said Puducherry region recorded four cases while Karaikal saw the two other cases.

Covid cases ebb in Arunachal, two more test positive
Arunachal Pradesh's COVID-19 tally rose to 66,550 on Monday after two more people tested positive for the virus, a senior health department official said. The death toll remained unchanged at 296, he said. The northeastern state has witnessed a declining trend of new infections. It had reported 22 fresh cases on Saturday and 17 on Sunday.
Arunachal Pradesh now has 126 active cases, while 66,128 people have recovered from the disease thus far, State Surveillance Officer (SSO) Lobsang Jampa said.
