India has recorded a total of 1,938 fresh coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, taking the COVID-19 tally to 4,30,14,687. According to Union health ministry data, the active cases declined further to 22,427 today.
The active cases comprise 0.05 per cent of the total infections. The national COVID-19 recovery rate was recorded at 98.75 per cent, it showed.
A reduction of 2,531 cases has been recorded in the active COVID-19 caseload in a span of 24 hours. The daily positivity rate was recorded at 0.29 per cent, while the weekly positivity rate stood at 0.35 per cent, the ministry said.

Mizoram reported 191 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday, 32 more than the previous day's count, taking the state's tally to 2,23,343, a health department official said.
The single-day positivity rate increased to 10.73 per cent from 7.92 per cent the previous day, he said.
Mizoram now has 1,120 active cases.
The EU's drug watchdog on Thursday recommended for approval AstraZeneca's Covid-19 prevention jab, which can be used for patients with immune system problems or severe reactions to normal vaccines.
The European Medicines Agency's human medicines committee "has recommended granting a marketing authorisation for Evusheld, developed by AstraZeneca for the prevention of Covid-19 in adults and adolescents from 12 years of age," the Amsterdam-based EMA said in a statement.
Singapore will lift restrictions for all vaccinated travellers from next week, with Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong on Thursday hailing it as a "major milestone" in the aviation hub's efforts to live with Covid-19.
The city-state is the latest Asian country to ease travel restrictions in a region that has generally been more reluctant to lift barriers than Europe and North America.

Odisha's COVID-19 tally rose to 12,87,323 on Thursday as 38 more people tested positive for the infection, while one fresh fatality pushed the state's coronavirus death count to 9,117, a health bulletin said.
The state had logged 60 coronavirus cases on Monday.
A fresh fatality was registered for the first time in a week as a 57-year-old patient died of the infection in Jagatsinghpur district.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, who launched the vaccination drive for children in the 12-14 age category on Wednesday, in a tweet said "the people of the state have again displayed an excellent example of public-participation to create a record." He congratulated the children, parents and the health department for the achievement.
According to Shukla, Madhya Pradesh administered 3,67,883 doses of Corbevax vaccine in the age group of 12-14 on the opening day of the drive in the state on Wednesday.
In comparison, Maharashtra on Wednesday administered 2.07 lakh doses, Rajasthan 1.98 lakh, West Bengal 1.90 lakh, Andhra Pradesh 1.15 lakh, Gujarat 1.07 lakh, Bihar 86,147, Odisha 70,435 and Telangana 55,473, the official said.
"We have vaccinated over three lakh children, that too amid a wide scattered population. It is really an organised and a disciplined campaign," he said.
The national vaccination drive for the children in the 12-14 age group began on March 16. However, a Madhya Pradesh health official had then said the drive will begin in the state after March 22 once necessary training is given to the frontline staff.
The official had also said that 30 lakh doses of Corbevax vaccine were received for the inoculation of children in this age category.
Ladakh reported two fresh Covid cases, raising its tally to 28,215, officials said today.
The active case count in the union territory declined to 26, they said.
No new death was reported in the past 24 hours, the officials said.
The union territory so far has recorded 228 Covid-related deaths - 168 in Leh district and 60 in Kargil district, they said.
Two more patients were cured and discharged from hospital in Leh. With these, the total number of recuperated patients reached 27,961, the officials said.
The number of COVID-19 patients in Arunachal Pradesh dipped to two on Thursday as one more person was cured of the disease, a senior health official said.
The coronavirus tally of the northeastern state remained unchanged at 64,484 as no fresh case was recorded in the last five days, State Surveillance Officer (SSO) Dr Lobsang Jampa said.
As many as 64,186 people have recuperated from the disease thus far. The recovery rate among the coronavirus patients in the state stood at 99.54 per cent.
The number of deaths remained unchanged at 296 as no fresh fatality was recorded.
The Capital Complex region, comprising Itanagar, Naharlagun, Nirjuli and Banderdewa areas, and Lohit district have one active case each, the SSO said.
A total of 12,68,393 samples have been tested for COVID-19 so far, including 147 on Wednesday, Jampa said.
State Immunisation Officer Dr Dimong Padung said that more than 16,56,139 people have been inoculated with COVID vaccines thus far.

The coronavirus tally of the Union territory remained unchanged at 10,031 as no fresh infection was recorded. The tally stood at 129.
A total of 9,901 people have recovered from the disease so far, including one in the last 24 hours.
The administration has thus far tested over 7.08 lakh samples for COVID-19, and fully vaccinated 3.04 lakh people.
These new cases were reported on Wednesday, he said.
The number of deaths remained unchanged at 11,880 as no fresh fatality was reported, he said, adding that the COVID-19 mortality rate in Thane is 1.67 per cent.
In neighbouring Palghar district, the COVID-19 case count has gone up to 1,63,449, while the death toll stands at 3,392, another official told news agency Press Trust of India.
India's COVID-19 tally had crossed two crore cases on May 4 and three crore cases on June 23.
