COVID-19 Highlights: The national COVID-19 recovery rate stands at 98.59% (Representational)
India has recorded 10,725 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of Covid cases to 4,43,78,920.
According to the Union Health Ministry, the country also reported 36 deaths in the last 24 hours due to Covid, bringing the total number of Covid-related fatalities to 5,27,488.
The active cases comprise 0.22 per cent of the total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate stands at 98.59 per cent, the ministry said.
The daily positivity rate was recorded at 4.15 per cent and the weekly positivity rate at 3.59 per cent, the ministry said.

Maharashtra Reports 1,887 Covid Cases, 6 Deaths
Maharashtra on Thursday recorded 1,887 new Covid cases and six deaths, the health department said in a bulletin.
The state's Covid case tally rose to 80,91,276, and total death count reached 1,48,214.
On Wednesday, the state had recorded 1,913 cases and five fatalities.
Mumbai recorded 838 new coronavirus cases and two fatalities on Thursday.
Pune city, Solapur city and Raigad and Solapur districts recorded one fatality each.
The case fatality rate in the state stands at 1.83 per cent.
There are 12,269 active cases in the state now.
As many as 2,190 patients recovered from coronavirus infection since Wednesday evening, taking the total of recovered patients to 79,30,793.
Mumbai Reports 838 Covid Cases, 2 Deaths
Mumbai on Thursday reported 838 new Covid infections and two Covid-related deaths, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) said in a bulletin.
The tally of Covid cases in Mumbai rose to 11,41,404 while the total death count increased to 19,679, it said.
On the sixth consecutive day, the metropolis logged fewer than 1,000 coronavirus infections.
Last week, the city had recorded more than 1,000 cases on two consecutive days.
Mumbai's tally of recuperated patients rose to 11,16,001 with more than 1,199 patients recovering during the day.
Tamil Nadu Reports 542 New Covid Cases, 1 Death
Tamil Nadu on Thursday reported 542 fresh Covid infections, pushing the total positives to 35,65,562.
The death count touched 38,034 after a 48-year-old man with comorbidity died due to the virus, the health department said.
As many as 675 people recuperated from the disease in the last 24 hours, aggregating to 35,22,032 leaving 5,496 active infections, a medical bulletin said.
Chennai reported 79 cases followed by Coimbatore 68 while the remaining were spread across other districts. Perambalur, Ramanathapuram and Tenkasi districts recorded zero infections each, while 18 districts saw new cases below 10.
The state capital leads among districts with 2,258 active infections and overall 7,86,936 coronavirus cases.
Delhi Reports 702 Covid Cases, 4 Deaths
Delhi on Thursday recorded 702 fresh Covid cases with a positivity rate of 4.49 per cent, while four more people died due to the viral disease, according to data shared by the city health department.
The new cases came out of 15,632 tests conducted the previous day, the department said in its latest bulletin.
With the fresh cases and fatalities, Delhi's infection tally increased to 19,97,054, while the total death count rose to 26,446, it said
Mahatashtra's Thane Logs 377 New COVID-19 Cases In 24 Hours
As many as 377 new cases of coronavirus have been detected in Maharashtra's Thane district, taking its infection count to 7,39,777, a health official said today.
With the addition of the latest cases on Wednesday, the district currently has 2,285 active COVID-19 cases, as against 2,131 the previous day, he said.
The death count in Thane remained unchanged at 11,939. The recovery count has reached 7,25,928, he added.
Active Covid Cases In India Decline To 94,047
India logged 10,725 new coroanvirus infections taking the total tally of cases to 4,43,78,920, while the active cases declined to 94,047, according to the Union Health Ministry data updated today.
The death count climbed to 5,27,488 with 36 fatalities which includes five deaths reconciled by Kerala, the data updated at 8 am stated. The active cases comprise 0.21 per cent of the total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate has increased to 98.60 per cent, the ministry said.
A decline of 2,395 cases has been recorded in the active COVID-19 caseload in a span of 24 hours.
