India reported more than 13,000 new coronavirus infections on Friday, taking the total tally of COVID-19 cases to 4,28,94,345. According to the Union Health Ministry data, the active cases dipped to 1,34,235.
The number of dead climbed to 5,13,226 with 302 fresh fatalities, the data updated at 8 am stated. The daily COVID-19 cases have remained below one lakh for 18 consecutive days.
The active cases comprise 0.31 per cent of the total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate has further improved to 98.49 per cent, the ministry said.

Gujarat records 245 new coronavirus cases, five deaths
Gujarat recorded 245 new coronavirus infections and five deaths in the last 24 hours, the state health department said on Friday evening.
As many as 644 persons recovered from infection during the day, taking the tally of recoveries to 12,08,657.
The number of active cases in Gujarat now stands at 2,538. Of these, only 33 patients are on ventilator.
Gujarat recorded 245 new coronavirus infections and five deaths in the last 24 hours, the state health department said on Friday evening.
The caseload of the state rose to 12,22,119, while death toll reached 10,924.
As many as 644 persons recovered from infection during the day, taking the tally of recoveries to 12,08,657.
The number of active cases in Gujarat now stands at 2,538. Of these, only 33 patients are on ventilator.

Coronavirus Updates: Delhi Ends All Covid Curbs, Schools Offline From April 1
Night curfew in Delhi will end from Monday, the government said today as COVID-19 cases continue to fall. The Delhi Disaster Management Authority, or DDMA, has also reduced the fine for not wearing mask from ₹ 1,000 to ₹ 500. All schools can take classes on campus from April 1.
The decision to end the night curfew and reopen schools fully was taken as COVID-19 cases have come down, sources said. There were also concerns over people facing hardships due to loss of businesses, they said.
With night curfew gone, shops, restaurants and other establishments can remain open till late at night.

COVID-19: Ladakh records 19 new cases
Ladakh reported 19 fresh Covid cases, raising the union territory's tally 27,947, officials said on Friday.
The active cases have come down to 248 -- 228 in Leh district and 20 in Kargil district -- with 55 more patients recovering from the disease in the past 24 hours, they said.
The union territory has so far recorded 228 Covid-related deaths -- 168 in Leh and 60 in Kargil.
As many as 55 more patients were cured and discharged from hospitals in Ladakh. Of these, 42 were discharged in Leh and 13 in Kargil, the officials said.
The total number of cured patients was 27,471, they said.

Over 11 crore balance, unutilized COVID-19 vaccine doses available with States/UTs: Centre
More than 11.02 crore balanced and unutilized COVID-19 vaccine doses are still available with states and union territories that need to be administered to beneficiaries, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare informed on Friday.
Further, the Union Health Ministry informed that more than 173.22 crores vaccine doses have been provided to states and union territories so far through the Central Government (free of cost channel) and through the direct state procurement category.

India logged 13,166 new coronavirus infections, taking the total tally of COVID-19 cases to 4,28,94,345, while the active cases declined to 1,34,235, according to the Union Health Ministry data updated on Friday.

The daily COVID-19 cases have remained less than one lakh for 19 consecutive days.
The active cases comprise 0.31 per cent of the total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate has further improved to 98.49 per cent, the ministry said.
A reduction of 14,124 cases has been recorded in the active COVID-19 caseload in a span of 24 hours.

Coronavirus Live Updates: Thane district reports 57 news COVID-19 cases; death toll rises by three
With the addition of 57 coronavirus positive cases, the infection count in Thane district of Maharashtra increased to 7,08,138, an official said on Friday.
These new cases were reported on Thursday.
As the virus claimed the lives of three persons, the death toll in the district stood at 11,872. The mortality rate is 1.67 per cent, he said.
In neighbouring Palghar district, the caseload has gone up to 1,63,340, while the death toll is 3,391, another official said.

Coronavirus Updates: No fresh COVID-19 case in Andamans
The COVID-19 tally of Andaman and Nicobar Islands remained unchanged at 10,015 as no fresh case was reported, a health bulletin said.
The Union territory now has 18 active cases, while 9,868 people have recovered from the disease so far, including six in the last 24 hours.
The coronavirus death toll remained unchanged at 129 as no fresh fatality was recorded.
The administration has thus far tested over 6.98 lakh samples for COVID-19, and fully vaccinated more than 3.02 lakh people.
