New Delhi: India on Thursday reported 1,225 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of infections to 4,30,24,440. The country also reported 28 Covid-related deaths in the last 24 hours, taking the death count to 5,21,129, according to the Health Ministry.
The Union health ministry data showed active cases declined to 14,704, comprising 0.03 per cent of the total infections.
The recovery rate is currently at 98.75 per cent, the ministry said, adding that the daily positivity rate was at 0.22 per cent.
Over 183.73 crore vaccine doses have been administered so far in the country, according to the Co-WIN dashboard.

99 New COVID-19 Cases Take Mizoram's Coronavirus Tally To 2,24,360
Mizoram today reported 99 new COVID-19 cases, 58 less than the previous day, with the tally rising to 2,24,360, a health department official said.
The number of deaths remained at 684 as no new fatality due to the infection was recorded in the last 24 hours, he said.
At least 152 people recuperated from the disease during the period, taking the total number of recoveries to 2, 22, 628.
The recovery rate among COVID-19 patients in the state stood at 99.22 per cent, the official said.
The daily positivity ratio dipped to 7.76 per cent from 12.40 per cent the previous day, he said.
Mizoram now has 1,048 active cases.
The northeastern state has so far conducted more than 18.97 lakh sample tests for COVID-19, including 1,275 on Wednesday.
State immunisation officer Dr Lalmuanawma Jongte said over 8.26 lakh people have been inoculated till March 30 with 6.68 lakh of them having received both doses of vaccines.

One Active Covid Case In Andamans, Caseload At 10,033 With No Fresh Infection
Andaman and Nicobar Islands have just one active COVID patient who is undergoing home isolation, a health official said on Thursday.
The caseload in the archipelago remained at 10,033 as no fresh coronavirus infection was reported in the last 24 hours, he said.
The number of deaths stood at 129 as no new fatality due to the disease was recorded during the period, the official said.
One patient was cured of the disease on Wednesday, taking the total number of recoveries to 9,903.
Altogether 6,10,125 people have been inoculated with 3,05,068 of them having received both doses of COVID vaccines. At least 23,330 beneficiaries in the age group of 15-18 years have been immunised and 10,289 senior citizens have so far got the precautionary jab.
At least 9,183 children in the age group of 12-14 years have been vaccinated, the official said.
The Andaman and Nicobar administration has conducted over 7.12 lakh sample tests for COVID-19 so far, and the positivity rate stands at 1.41 per cent, he added.

Arunachal Reports One New Covid Case
Days after turning into a Covid-free state, Arunachal Pradesh on Thursday reported a fresh case, pushing the tally to 64,485, a senior health department official said.
The new case was detected from Shi Yomi district, he said.
The northeastern state had become Covid-free on March 27 after the lone infected person in Lohit district recovered.
The number of deaths remained at 296 as no fatality was reported in the past 24 hours, State Surveillance Officer Lobsang Jampa said.
A total of 64,188 people have recovered from the disease in Arunachal Pradesh so far, Lobsang Jampa said.
State Immunisation Officer Dimong Padung said 16,62,145 people have been inoculated till Wednesday.
