New Delhi: India has reported 3,377 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of infections to 4,30,72,176. According to the Union Health Ministry, the active cases increased to 17,801, with 821 new active cases in a 24-hour time span.
The country also reported 60 deaths today, bringing the total number of Covid-related fatalities to 5,23,753.
The active cases comprise 0.04 per cent of the total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate was recorded as 98.74 per cent, the ministry said.

COVID-19: Four new cases in Chhattisgarh, no death; active tally at 33
Chhattisgarh on Friday reported four fresh COVID-19 cases, taking the overall tally to 11,52,263, while no new death related to the infection was registered in the state, an official said.
The death count remained unchanged at 14,034.
The positivity rate, or cases detected per 100 tests, stood at 0.09 per cent, he said.
The recovery count in Chhattisgarh rose to 11,38,196 after one more person completed the home isolation period during the day, leaving the state with 33 active cases, he said.

Mizoram Logs 99 Fresh COVID-19 Cases In 24 Hours
Mizoram today reported 99 new COVID-19 cases, 14 more than the previous day, taking the state's tally to 2,27,336, a health official said.
The COVID-19 death count remained at 696 as no new fatality was reported since Thursday, the official said.
The single-day positivity rate increased to 10 per cent from 7.49 per cent the previous day, as the fresh cases were detected from 990 samples tested, he said.
Mizoram currently has 744 active COVID-19 cases, while 2,25,896 people have recovered from the infection so far, including 85 people on Thursday, he said.
The COVID-19 recovery rate now is 99.36 per cent and the death rate is 0.30 per cent.
According to state Immunisation officer Lalmuanawma Jongte, over 8.47 lakh people have been inoculated till Thursday.

Maharashtra's Thane District Reports 21 New Covid Cases In 24 Hours
With the addition of 21 coronavirus positive cases, the infection count in Thane district of Maharashtra mounted to 7,09,023, an official said today.
These cases were reported on Thursday, he said.
No fresh fatality was reported in the district and the number of deaths stood at 11,892, he said, adding that its COVID-19 mortality rate is 1.67 per cent.
In neighbouring Palghar district, the caseload is 1,63,612 and the fatality count is 3,407, another official said.
