New Delhi: India on Tuesday recorded a total of 9,062 new COVID-19 infections. The active caseload stands at 1,05,058, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare informed.
The country also reported 36 deaths in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number Covid-related fatalities to 5,27,134.
The number of people who have recuperated from the disease surged to 4,36,54,064.
The daily positivity rate was 2.49 per cent while the weekly positivity rate was recorded at 4.38 per cent, according to the health ministry.

COVID-19 India News: 43 New Cases In Arunachal Pradesh
Arunachal Pradesh's COVID-19 tally rose to 66,447 today after 43 more people tested positive for the infection, a senior health official said. The northeastern state had reported only two cases yesterday. The death count remained unchanged at 296 as no fresh fatality was reported, State Surveillance Officer (SSO) Dr Lobsang Jampa said. The state now has 145 active cases.

COVID-19 India News: 3 New Covid Cases In Andamans
The COVID-19 tally of Andaman and Nicobar Islands rose to 10,520 on Wednesday as three more people tested positive for the infection, a health bulletin said. The Union territory now has 16 active cases. A total of 129 patients have died due to the infection to date.
