Gujarat Reports 251 New COVID-19 Cases, 1 Death

Gujarat on Sunday recorded 251 fresh cases of coronavirus that raised the tally of infections to 12,69,687, an official from the state health department said.

With the death of a patient in Navsari during the day, the death count stood at 11,006, while the count of recoveries rose to 12,56,727 after 208 patients recovered, the official said.

The state now has 1,954 active cases, with 14 patients on ventilator support, he said.

Of the latest infections, Ahmedabad reported the highest number of 67 new cases, followed by Vadodara with 42, Surat 32, Rajkot 21 and Kutch 14 cases, among others.

Maharashtra Reports 1,639 COVID-19 Cases, 5 Deaths

Maharashtra on Sunday reported 1,639 COVID-19 cases and five fatalities, taking the tally to 80,96,484 and the total death count to 1,48,229, the state health department said.

Of the new cases, Mumbai saw 610 infections and four deaths due to COVID-19.

Another fatality due to coronavirus infection was reported from the Beed district in the Marathwada region.

A total of 1, 698 patients were discharged on Sunday after treatment, raising the count of recoveries to 79,36,576, leaving the state with 11,679 active cases, the department said.

With the fresh additions, the overall tally of coronavirus cases in Mumbai mounted to 11,42,396 and the total death count to 19,688.

Delhi Reports 397 New COVID-19 Cases, 5 Deaths

Delhi on Sunday recorded 397 fresh COVID-19 cases with a positivity rate of 3.05 per cent, while five more people succumbed to the viral disease, according to data shared by the city health department.

The new cases came out of 13,004 tests conducted the previous day, the department said in its latest bulletin.

With the fresh cases and fatalities, Delhi's infection tally increased to 19,98,644 and the total death count climbed to 26,458, it said.

The health department did not issue the daily bulletin on Saturday.

Jammu and Kashmir Reports 152 New COVID-19 Cases

Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday recorded 152 fresh COVID-19 cases that pushed its infection tally to 4,77,456, officials said.

The total death count remained unchanged at 4,782, they said.

Of the fresh cases, 28 were reported from the Jammu division and 124 from the Kashmir valley, the officials said.

There are 1,549 active COVID-19 cases in the union territory.

Nashik Reports 46 New Covid Cases, Active Cases At 311

With the addition of 46 new cases of coronavirus, the tally of infections in Maharashtra's Nashik district reached 4,81,416 on Sunday, a health official said.

The total death count stood at 8,904, while the count of recoveries reached 4,72,201 after 43 patients recovered from the infection during the day, he said.

There are currently 311 patients undergoing treatment in the district, the official said.

Odisha Reports 257 New Covid Cases, 1 Death

Odisha's Covid tally rose to 13,26,929 on Sunday as 257 more people, including 43 children, tested positive for the virus, a health department bulletin said.

The total death count reached 9,172 after a 65-year-old woman died due to coronavirus in Sundargarh district, it said.

The state had recorded 289 new infections and one fatality on Saturday.

Odisha now has 1,980 active cases, while 13,15,724 patients have recovered from the disease so far.
