New Delhi: India added 7,591 new coronavirus infections in a day, taking total tally of COVID-19 cases rose to 4,44,15,723, while the active cases declined to 84,931, according to the Union Health Ministry data updated on Monday.
The death count climbed to 5,27,799 with 30 new fatalities. Besides 15 deaths have been reconciled by Kerala, the data updated at 8 am stated. The active cases comprise 0.19 per cent of the total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate was recorded at 98.62 per cent, the ministry said.

Delhi Reports 214 New COVID-19 Cases, 4 Deaths
Delhi on Monday reported 214 fresh COVID-19 cases with a positivity rate of 3.77 per cent, while four more people died due to the viral disease, according to data shared by the city health department.
The new cases came out of 5,683 tests conducted the previous day, the department said in its latest bulletin.
With the fresh cases and fatalities, Delhi's infection tally increased to 19,98,858 and the total death count climbed to 26,462, it said.

Mumbai Reports 351 New COVID-19 Cases
Mumbai on Monday reported 351 COVID-19 cases and three fatalities taking the tally to 11,43,669 and the death count to 19,691, the civic body said.
Of the fresh infections, 34 patients are symptomatic and admitted to hospitals.
A total of 425 patients in Mumbai remain hospitalised as of Monday for COVID-19, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) bulletin said.
The number of recoveries in the metropolis rose to 11,19,250 after 589 people were discharged. The number of active cases stands at 4,728, the bulletin said.

Gujarat Reports 158 New COVID-19 Cases
Gujarat on Monday logged 158 fresh cases of COVID-19 and one death taking the tally of infections to 12,69,845 and the death count to 11,007, an official from the state health department said.
The count of recoveries reached 12,56,970 after 243 patients recovered from the infection during the day, he said.
With this, the state is now left with 1,868 active cases, including 13 patients on ventilator support, the official said.
Of the latest cases, Ahmedabad reported the highest number of 39 new cases, followed by Surat with 27 cases, Vadodara with 22, Gandhinagar with 17 and Rajkot with 13, among others.

Maharashtra Reports 810 New COVID-19 Cases
Maharashtra on Monday recorded 810 coronavirus cases and five fatalities, including three in Mumbai, raising the cumulative tally to 80,97,294 and the death count to 1,48,234, the state health department said.
A day earlier, the state had reported 1,639 infections and five deaths due to COVID-19.
Mumbai recorded 351 fresh cases.
Of the five COVID-19 fatalities, three were reported from Mumbai and one each from Nagpur city and Gondia district. Maharashtra's COVID-19 fatality rate now stands at 1.73 per cent.
A total of 1,012 people were discharged after COVID-19 treatment in the last 24 hours, which raised the count of recoveries in Maharashtra to 79,37,588, leaving the state with 11,472 active cases, the department said in a bulletin.
