COVID-19 Highlights: The country reported 2 Covid-related deaths in the last 24 hours.

New Delhi:

India reported 174 new coronavirus infections in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases to 4,46,80,583.

The country's active caseload has now declined to 2,257.

India also recorded 5,30,725 Covid deaths so far, with one in Kerala and one in Maharashtra in the past 24 hours.

Two American Tourists Test Positive For Covid In UP's Agra: Official

Two American tourists, who visited the Taj Mahal on January 10, have tested COVID-19 positive, a senior health official said on Thursday.

Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Agra, Dr Arun Srivastava, said that the two American tourists were part of a group and were staying in a hotel after coming from Varanasi.

He said that samples of everyone in the group was taken but only the two Americans tested positive.

India Logs 174 Covid Cases In A Day, Active Caseload Declines By 52

India's tally of COVID-19 cases rose by 174 in a day while the active caseload declined to 2,257, according to Union Health Ministry data updated on Friday.

The total number of Covid cases recorded in India so far was 4.46 while the death toll was 5,30,725 with two more fatalities -- one reported by Kerala and one reported by Maharashtra in a day, data updated at 8 am showed.
