COVID-19 Updates: At least 10 Covid-related deaths reported in India on Friday.

New Delhi:

India recorded 2,430 new COVID cases in the last 24 hours, informed the Ministry of Health and Family Affairs on Saturday. India's active caseload currently stands at 26,618 which accounts for 0.06 per cent of the total cases.

A total of 2,378 patients recovered in the last 24 hours and the cumulative tally of recovered patients (since the beginning of the pandemic) was recorded at 4,40,70,935 on Saturday.

The national COVID-19 recovery rate stood at 98.76 per cent, the Health Ministry said.

The daily positivity rate was recorded at 1.1 per cent, while the weekly positivity rate is 1.07 per cent.

Chhattisgarh Records 63 COVID-19 Cases, 2 Deaths

Chhattisgarh on Saturday reported 63 COVID-19 cases at a positivity rate of 2.08 per cent, taking the tally to 11,77,096, while the death toll increased by two to reach 14,139, an official said.

The recovery count rose by 72 and stood at 11,62,530, leaving the state with 427 active cases, he said.

Raipur led with 12 cases, while no coronavirus cases were reported in 13 districts, he added.

Telangana Reports 78 New COVID-19 Cases

Telangana on Saturday recorded 78 new COVID-19 cases, taking the tally to 8,39,028.

Hyderabad district saw the highest number of cases with 42.

No fresh fatality occurred due to the infectious disease and the death toll continued to be 4,111.

Karnataka Reports 163 New COVID-19 Cases

Karnataka on Saturday reported 163 fresh COVID-19 cases, taking the total caseload to 40,66,705, the State Health Department said.

There was no fatalities reported and the death toll remained at 40,250. Bengaluru urban district alone contributed 121 fresh COVID cases.

The positivity rate for the day was 1.78 per cent, the department said.

Delhi Records 135 New COVID-19 Cases, Positivity Rate Of 2.12%

Delhi on Saturday recorded 135 fresh Covid cases with an increased positivity rate of 2.12 per cent, according to data shared by the city health department here.

No new fatality was reported due to the viral disease.

With these new cases, the capital's Covid tally has climbed to 20,04,787 while the death toll stands at 26,506, the department said in its latest bulletin.

Madhya Pradesh Logs 28 COVID-19 Cases; Active Tally Now 111

The COVID-19 tally in Madhya Pradesh reached 10,54,545 on Saturday after the detection of 28 cases at a positivity rate of 0.8 per cent, a health official said.

Gujarat Records 68 New COVID-19 Cases, Active Tally At 733

Gujarat on Saturday recorded 68 new cases of coronavirus that took the tally of infections to 12,76,018, an official from the state health department said.

Of the latest cases, Ahmedabad reported 21, followed by Surat with 17, Vadodara seven, Mehsana six and Rajkot five, among others, the official said.
