West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has penned a song alerting people of the state about the cornonavirus pandemic, assuring them of their ultimate victory in fighting the disease amidst the ongoing nationwide lockdown.
The brief 45-second song has been set to tune by Ms Banerjee herself, while famous Bengali singer and state minister Indranil Sen gave voice to it.
The song highlighted the importance of the lockdown, urging people to bring everything to a standstill. It also called upon the masses not to be afraid about coronavirus and not pay heed to rumours.
The song also stresses on social distancing to prevent the spread of the disease.
"Bhir theke sabbai dure thako/Coronake chute diyo na (stay away from gatherings, all of you/don't let Corona touch you)".
She also appealed to the people that everybody should come together, exuding confidence that Bengal never finishes as loser.
