A sessions court in Mumbai has issued a notice over the non-appearance of an Israeli disc jockey who was arrested during a raid on a rave party in suburban Juhu, a senior police official said on Monday.
"Ben Simon alias DJ Technodrome, arrested in October last during a raid at discotheque 'Bombay 72 Degree East', has failed to appear before the court," DCP (Anti-Narcotics Cell) Vishwas Nangre Patil said.
"We have approached the Special Branch of the police in connection with his failure to appear before the court and for assistance in tracing his whereabouts," he said.
The Israeli national was granted bail by a special NDPS court approximately two months following his arrest. Seven others have also been charged with selling drug at the discotheque. Forensic tests carried out had revealed that 227 persons caught there had consumed narcotics.
