Curfew reimposed in Kashmir, Omar chairs security meet
Srinagar: There's no let-up in the violence in Kashmir valley. In Anantnag, one person has been killed and two others have been injured in firing by security forces.

Curfew has been re-imposed in Srinagar and most other towns of Kashmir Valley after four people were killed in firing on Friday. The Home Ministry also sent the CRPF Director General to Srinagar to review the situation.

He had a meeting with Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today.

Omar chaired a high-level security meeting of the Unified Headquarters on Saturday to take stock of the situation. He had cancelled the meeting scheduled to be held on Friday in protest against the latest civilian deaths. (Read: Four killed in J&K clashes, Omar cancels unified headquarters meet)

The Chief Minister's office told NDTV that the reason for cancellation was because the police and paramilitary forces were busy in the field.

At least 56 people have been killed in the recent wave of clashes between protesters and security forces in the last 2 months.
